- Apprehension of an object, thought or emotion through the senses or mind.
- Active participation in an event or events. Personally having gone through or observing something as it occurs.
- Anything directly participated in or lived through and observed such as "We had a pleasant vacation."
- Totality of what has happened to a person, everything that one has witnessed and done such as, "In my experience, I have never seen that happen."
- The effect on a person of any and everything that has happened to them, and their individual reaction, such as reaction to events. Such as "In your experience what is your opinion of this career?"
- Activity that includes training, observation of practice and personal participation. To undergo.
- Period of such activity such as new instruction or teaching.
- The skills, knowledge and practice which results from this are derived.
