Expanding Universe Theory

n.

Endless Universe: Beyond the Big Bang

  1. An interpretation of cosmic data suggesting the shifts of the lines in the spectra of galaxies as resulting from a Doppler effect, with the experimental results that galaxies across the universe are expanding farther apart from one another at speeds proportional to the distance separating them and that the universe is in the process of expanding.
  2. The cosmological theory in which violent eruption from a point source leads to the formation of elementary particles, the subsequent formation of hydrogen and helium, and the dispersion of the galaxies that develop from this matter.
